At the 2 kilometers long and nearly white sand beach of Ngapali along the Bay of Bengal, you are able to let your soul dangle. Ngapali is known among experts as one of the most beautiful seaside destinations in Southeast Asia. But also in Ngapali the same restriction applies to like in the rest of south-east Asia: During the monsoon season between April and October, heavy rainfall is common and the waves in the bay of Bengal can prove to be very dangerous. Therefore, not a very good time for a visit of this small paradise. In return, Ngapali offers everything for a perfect holiday at the seaside between October and April.

You are able to reach this dream beach after a 15-minute transfer of 12 kilometers from the Mazin airport in Thwande (formerly Sandoway). Thwande itself can be reached, according to current airline timetables, like the following: daily flights (flying time 50 min.) from Yangon; every Wednesday and Sunday (55 min.) from Bagan; every Saturday (70 min.) from Mandalay; every Tuesday Thursday, Friday, Sunday (60 min.) from Heho.

Currently there are two hotels, both in the 4-star category, directly along the white sand beach of Ngapali and framed by coconut palm tress.
